Metaverse

Metaverse -- living in virtual world. 

While you are in the real world, you will enter into a virtual space using gadgets. In the virtual world, people will use a digital avatar to work, live and play online. The metaverse is a future successor of the internet. It is a way to escape from dystopian reality.

How can we be in the metaverse?

        we will live in a virtual world as we are in the real world, but the difference is, in virtual world everyone appear as digital avatars. People engage in activities like that we do in the real life, whether it's going to mall, attending a concert, or buying virtual cloths etc.

        It's an endless space where there are no limits to how many people can use it at the same time. Users can join the metaverse in anytime from anywhere. There is no single entity (like admins) that has control over the metaverse. All users have individual agency. 

Technologies used in the metaverse?

    In simple world we are going to make a world that is similar to the real world. that means we are going to inherit the properties and characteristics of the real world to virtual space such as people operations, activities etc.

        The metaverse is a shared virtual space that is hyper realistic, immersive and realistic. So for this we will use AR (augmented reality), VR (virtual reality) technologies and XR (extended reality) to create computer generated environments/objects. 

        AI (Artificial intelligence) to make the language processing, fast computing, identity verification through facial recognition, powering avatars to with the ability to learn human body language and actions. 

        Block chain technology is big part of the metaverse. It ensures the security for all the user assets and activities in the metaverse. Crypto currencies and NFTs have made possible to build a fully functioning economy in the virtual space where users can buy and sell any virtual assets such as avatars, virtual clothing, NFTs and event tickets.

        Blockchain technology will provide more extended storage capacity than centralized storage system.

        

        IOT (Internet of things) to act as a medium that connect between the internet via sensory devices.

        To live in internet world and to load virtual assets we need high-speed networks. Technologies like 5G and edge computing are still under development and currently unable to meet the demands of a metaverse.

        We still need to find solutions for the issues such as data privacy and security. If we enter into a virtual space, it will be a great opportunity for hackers to invent new vulnerabilities and attacks. To encounter the attackers, cyber specialists should be found new ways.

Techgaints like Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Nvidia have invested big into the metaverse.

According to my perspective, creating a virtual space that is similar to the real world is not an easy task. It may take decades to build a virtual environment. As metaverse grows, we may encounter data security, storage and interacting issues. It will bring a revolution in digital economy and with a decentralized system of capital.
